Traffic Signs

Traffic signs exist to warn drivers and keep them safe, but they are effective only if their warnings are heeded. Stop signs are the most common and recognizable warnings on the road, but some drivers will roll through them or simply not stop if they do not see traffic coming from other directions. Stop signs are not a suggestion, and if you reach an intersection where two drivers ignore them, it's the recipe for an accident. Speed signs also represent a limit and not a recommendation. In addition to getting a speeding ticket or causing an accident, driving at high speeds is not fuel efficient. When you approach an intersection, keep an eye open for signs prohibiting turns or U-Turns. If you make an illegal turn, you could end up going the wrong way down a one-way street and cause an accident.
